Episode 55 — The Benefits Of Paranoia

Did you know a protector is better able to do their job when they have a sense of paranoia? Not frothing-at-the-mouth paranoia, but a more concentrated awareness of one’s enemies, whether those enemies are humans, the weather, or whatever. In this episode, I discuss recent news events in which I believe the sense of paranoia was lacking, and disaster took place. Anyone who is in charge of protecting others should have a sense of paranoia, which creates a heightened sense of preparedness, and better enables the protector to predict what looming threats are nearby, so that they can react accordingly.

Episode 32 – Prepping Basics

Do you know the prepping basics? We all seem caught up in our own various projects or emphases that have to do with prepping, but occasionally it is a good idea to step back and review the basic rules of prepping.

In this episode I go over many of the basics on prepping, including a few chestnuts from the prepping world, like “two is one and one is none.”  I discuss the basics of water, food, weapons, medicine, and many others. This was especially fun: at the end, I discuss the importance of getting a survival retreat in the country, with the added benefit that it could be a good real estate investment — then I provide a real life example!

According to ready.gov, this month is National Preparedness Month, so we all need to be good, obedient citizens and follow the government’s lead, and be prepared.
